The Perfect Vegan Post-Workout Smoothie- RECIPE


When I’m feeling so hot and sweaty after a fantastic run or workout, there’s nothing more I love in the whole wide world than fruity, refreshing and nourishing vegan smoothie!

They’re packed with plant-based, vegan wholefood proteins and carbs that will help you refuel and recover after your workout, they’ll give your energy levels that added boost and they’re also rich in those vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients that are simply amazing for your health. Did I also mention that they’re mouth-wateringly good?

Over the years, I’ve tried a ton of different recipes (you probably have too!) but most were just too fussy, too complicated and not exactly what I was looking for. Enter my perfect smoothie recipe.

It’s beautifully simple, you don’t need to add any of those highly processed (and expensive) protein powders and you can even tweak the ingredients, depending on what is available where you are.

So without further ado, here is the Perfect Vegan Post-Workout Smoothie you’ll ever find!

Vibrant Mixed Berry and Banana Smoothie


  • 1 handful frozen mixed berries (choose your favourite!)
  • 1-2 frozen bananas
  • 1 handful baby spinach leaves
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • Whatever superfoods you want to throw in!


Simply throw all of the ingredients into your blender, hit that button, do a little dance around the kitchen in excitement and then ENJOY!!
